REC/REW dev update #14


To whom it may concern...

This project is far from dead! It's fully alive and well!

(as long as *I* am alive and well, that is ^_^)

Progresses have been slow but steady. The next update is going to hit the 150k words milestone and it's being quite heavy on the "scenes" side (with that I mean, I've been relying less on the sprites I've been developing in the last months and crafted a lot of dedicated pics to better portray a lot of situations).

I'm presently aiming for a late July - early August release (timing to be read as "wishful thinking" and subject to change without notice, of course... but, well, I swear I'm working really  hard to meet my self-imposed deadline!).

In the meantime I've also been working on chapter 3 which is a real pain - not because of a generic lack of ideas, on the countrary perhaps I've been working on too many fronts at the same time. It's going to be VERY brainy, with a first part delving into this visual novel's inner framework that... well, you'll see once it's out =P. I honestly love this sort of stuff, even if I know it's unlikely to be everybody else's poison...

Finally, I'm currently meditating on how big the "demo" (ie. the web version) of my visual novel should be. Honestly, the initial concept of releasing  chapter 1 + chapter 2 as a playable demo is starting to feel a bit exxagerated... I mean, that would BIG: I've been playing fully fledged (and... likely by far more professionally made, I'll earnestly admit that you gals at fluttering abyss...) visual novels that are smaller than that! 

Oh well, time to get back to work. And perhaps have something cool to drink. We're in the middle of a heat wave here, and it's only going to get worse according to the newscast. I'm just praying the Holy Mother of Air Conditioning not to abandon me in my moment of need...

Next time I'll be writing something here, it'll be to announce a new release.

... If I don't melt before that.
